The hottest trend in fashion? Celebrity kids stepping in front of the camera. Famous daughters have been picking up where their moms left off for years (see: Kaia Gerber, Dylan Penn, Dakota Johnson), but lately, it’s the teen sons who have been taking up the modeling mantle. The most recent ad campaign stars? Dylan Brosnan (son of Pierce) and Jack Kilmer (Val’s kid).
COURTESY SAINT LAURENBrosnan, 17, (left) stars in the company’s permanent collection ads and was cast by designer Hedi Slimane in August. In the black-and-white shots, the teen (who shares his dad’s chiseled cheekbones and fabulous hair) poses in a tux, a striped sailor top and a perfectly-cut leather jacket. Kilmer, 19, who walked in the collection’s spring/summer show this fall, gives off more of a rocker vibe in his ads, wearing print tops, denim button-ups and oversized sunglasses.
Brosnan and Kilmer are the most recent celebrity sons to enter the modeling world. Victoria and David Beckham’s boys have landed major shoots (Romeo, 12, models for Burberry, while Brooklyn, 15, has landed some fashion editorials). Jude Law’s son Rafferty, 17 has walked the runway for DKNY Men. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s son Patrick landed ads for Tom Ford eyewear earlier this year, and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s son Jaden, 15recently appeared in the New York Times‘s fashion magazine, T.
