Eminem Apologizes for "the Pain I've Caused" in New Single "Guts Over Fear"—Watch the Music Video!

Here's a side of Eminem you might not be used to.
The controversial and outspoken rapper is known to have angry and graphic lyrics, as well as drumming up some hip-hop beef from time to time through his numerous diss tracks aimed at various celebs, including his most-recent targets fellow rapper Iggy Azalea andsinger Lana Del Rey.
But in his recent track "Guts Over Fear," Em actually apologizes for going in on people, candidly explaining that his rage is what he felt kept him relevant.
The lyrics include, "But it wasn't until I put the pain in songs learned who to aim it on/ That I made a spark, started to spit hard as shit/ Learned how to harness it while the reins were off/ And there was a lot of bizarre shit, but the crazy part/ Was soon as I stopped saying 'I gave a f--k'/ Haters started to appreciate my art/ And it just breaks my heart to look at all the pain I've caused/ But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone?"
The track, which features Sia and will be on the rapper's new Shady XV compilation, was originally released back in August, but now Em has unveiled the accompanying music video.
The clip, directed by Syndrome, shows the uphill struggle for an aspiring boxer while also showing a somber Eminem rapping by himself in a dark room.
It begins with an athlete preparing for a fight backstage, but gives quickly jumps to six months prior to give viewers the backstory of his journey. And what we see is a young man jumping hurdles to pay the bills and provide for his alcoholic father and pregnant wife.
But instead of letting that break him, he takes out his frustrations on his opponents, continuing to build his boxing skills and ultimately finding victory.
