Katie Holmes Calls Suri Cruise "Very Organized," Reveals What's on Her Daughter's 2014 Christmas List!

Suri Cruise is ready to see what's under the Christmas tree!
Katie Holmes stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday, where she discussed how she's getting ready for the holidays with her daughter. "She already has her Christmas list ready," the 35-year-old Miss Meadows star told host Ellen DeGeneres. "It's written out. She's very organized and I start to get a little bit of a panic because you cannot screw up talking to Santa. You cannot miss any item on that list, because if you screw that up, that's years and years of hearing about it—and then probably therapy."
"She's practical," Holmes added. "She's just very specific."
Just how specific are Cruise's requests? "'I want a puppy,' and then, 'I want a pink collar that has sparkles on it that says the puppy's name,' then, 'I want shoes for the dog,'" said Holmes, who clarified that her daughter wants a real puppy and not a stuffed toy. "'I want a purple clip.' It's all very detailed!"
DeGeneres then plugged her holiday album, saying it's "what children love."
"That is what I wanted," Holmes said, accepting the gift on Cruise's behalf. "Thank you."

The actress didn't reveal where she'll be spending Christmas with Cruise—the mother-daughter duo currently divides their time between L.A. and New York City—though it seems unlikely that they'll be in the Big Apple. "We're kind of in both places because last winter was particularly freezing," Holmes said.
Before Christmas, though, comes Thanksgiving. As Holmes recently told The Late Show'sDavid Letterman, "My mother's going to teach me how to make a turkey." And she's thrilled about it! "I'm very excited because I'm the baby of five, and I've been using that for a long time, but this year I'm taking responsibility," she said.
Holmes wasn't sure if she'll roast the turkey or deep fry it, but she's already ordered the bird. (Guess we know where Cruise's proactivity comes from!) Holmes is also excited" to make stuffing for the first time—using her mom's recipe, of course! It calls for breadcrumbs, chicken broth, sage, salt and pepper.
"I'm really excited about it," Holmes said.
