The Internet has been following the Bill Cosby scandal with a magnifying glass, so when it was reported that Lisa Bonet posted a tweet that seemed to be aimed at The Cosby Showstar, social media exploded.
But it turns out that it wasn't Bonet at all. Zoë Kravitz's mom was a victim of a social media hoax.
"Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind," her manager told People magazine. "Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story."
The tweet in question didn't mention Cosby specifically, but alluded to the on-going allegations that he raped Barbara Bowman almost 10 years ago and sexually assaultedAndrea Constand.
"According to the karma of past actions, one's destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky," read the tweet, which was posted on an account using Bonet's name. "Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!"
The fake Twitter account has since been suspended.
The Huxtable family has been quite vocal since the story first broke, with Raven-Symonéslamming claims that Cosby had been inappropriate with her while she played his step-granddaughter on the comedy show. The actress posted a photo of herself as young Olivia on her Instagram with a caption that read, "I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!"
The 77-year-old actor has remained silent about the ordeal since the scandal was brought back to light, but his lawyer, Marty Singer, has denied all of the allegations.
"We've reached a point of absurdity," Singer said in a statement obtained by NBC News. "The stories are getting more ridiculous."

Despite everything that is going on in his life, Cosby did manage to perform at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas last week. Taking the stage in front of a packed house, the actor told jokes about race, religion and growing up in Philadelphia.
According to an eyewitness, Cosby received a standing ovation at the end of his set.
