OLAMIDE IS MY SON, HE DID NOT CHASE ME OUT OF THE INDUSTRY--LORD OF AJASA

Indigenous language rap pioneer, Olusegun Osaniyi aka Lord of Ajasa has come out to say that he and Olamide have indeed come a long a way in the industry while dismissing rumours that the young rapper has chased him and others out of the industry. Recall that some years ago, Lord of Ajasa was virtually the only Nigerian rapper using his local dialect to do rap. For those on the know, Olamide and Lord of Ajasa both started and passed through the same label, Coded Tunes founded by ID Cabasa. With the likes of 9ice, 2phat and others at the label when he was the lead act, speaking with Nigezie, Lord of Ajasa explained that Olamide is his son in the industry, adding that he produced Olamide’s first song. ‘You don’t know the story of Olamide and I, its a long story I won’t lie to you, Olamide is my son, ‘Omo mi lo je,’ And not done, Lord of Ajasa said: ‘And let it be known, I was the first artiste to produce Olamide, back in the days at Bariga when we had nothing.’ On whether Olamide’s success forced people like him out of the industry, the rapper said. ‘I did not leave the industry for anybody; e mi ni ten basoro ni? You are talking to Lord of Ajasa, I cannot leave industry because of anybody, it’s not possible.’...
