Why Reese Witherspoon Is the Best Boss Ever

Reese Witherspoon not only stars in Wild, she's also produced the movie.
It's her production company's second film after box office hit Gone Girl. Not too shabby!
I asked her Wild co-stars at the movie's premiere in Beverly Hills last night what it's like having the Oscar winner as your boss.
In short, she sounds pretty darn awesome.
Here's what they had to say…
Laura Dern, who plays her mom in the big screen adaptation of Cheryl Strayed's memoir of the same name, gushed, "Amazing, like the most generous inclusive, determined, fierce protector of Cheryl Strayed you could ask for."

Thomas Sadoski, who plays Witherspoon's husband, said when Reese calls, you come running. "She's the best kind [of boss]," the Newsroom star shared. "She actually expects of herself what she expects of everybody else. You want people who care that much and who are willing to put in that effort on their own."
Mo McRae only appears in one scene in Wild as a newspaper reporter, but he got a full taste of what Witherspoon is like.
"I remember one of the days on set, it was running long and the morale was beginning to get a little low, and the next thing you know, this giant truck comes in with barbecue from Oregon," McRae said. "She just really took great care of everyone."

He was impressed even before he started working on film. "I arrived early, like days early, just to get a feel for everything," the Sons of Anarchy actor said. "Several days before my scene with her, she comes over and says, 'Mo, thank you for being here. I know your schedule was tight with the show. Thank you.' I'm like this is an Academy Award winner thanking me for being here!"
"And then she says, 'Let me know if you want to run lines or anything,'" McRae continued. "I'm like, wow, it just doesn't get any better than that. After you see that and then you see her performance in the film you totally understand the longevity she's been able to have in her career."
Wild is in theaters on Dec. 5.
