The fans have spoken, and they have spoken loudly.
After Louis TomlinsonZayn Malik and music producer Naughty Boy engaged in aheated Twitter feud Wednesday, fans quickly ganged together and chose a side:One Direction. They quickly backed Tomlinson, making the hashtag #TomlinsonSlaysAgain trend worldwide on Twitter. But after the angry back-and-forth banter ended, both sides rested until Thursday morning.
Malik addressed his fans and the feud on the social media platform, writing, "Don't know why I'm being attacked for defending myself, people got it twisted! I love my fans ?! Every single one of you x."
Tomlinson, on the other hand, tweeted, "Our fans support really has been a different class ! Huge love to you guys!!
Let's rewind.
It all began when Naughty Boy tweeted a picture of himself and Zayn, using some Photoshopping to make it look artsy. Some time later, Tomlinson saw the pic and tweeted, without naming names, a jab. "Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha! Some people still do HA!" he tweeted.
"@Louis_Tomlinson and some people can't even sing...but who's complaining when there's auto tune eh," Naughty Boy replied less than 15 minutes later.
"@NaughtyBoyMusic Jesus forgot you were such an in demand producer..." Tomlinson replied. "How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else's career?"
The feud had managed to stay between Tomlinson and Naughty Boy until Zaynpiped in. @Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?" Zayn wrote.
What happened to "friends for life"? Can't we all just get along?!
Apparently not...
"@Louis_Tomlinson Yeah how does it feel mate?" Naughty Boy posted. "You've been doing that for the last five years... I've got Emeli Sande and Sam Smith on my CV."
"@NaughtyBoyMusic good for you, well done!!" Tomlinson said. "I think we've done alright in terms of sales and I've happened to write on most. Keep trying!"
Tomlinson never responded to Malik.
