Today is more than just an "Ordinary Day."
It appears Vanessa Carlton's first child with husband John J. McCauley has arrived!
"Sid the Kid, whoa!!!" McCauley shared on Instagram with a photo of himself cradling a newborn baby girl in the delivery room. His label also congratulated the couple by tweeting, "There's a new mama and papa on the block! Huge congrats to John McCauley and Vanessa Carlton on their baby girl!!! Welcome to the family!"
Perfect timing as just four days before, Carlton revealed on Twitter that she was totally ready to welcome a new family member.
"10 months pregnant & honestly dreaming of the moment I can start this cause I'm officially waddling," she tweeted with a picture of Tracy Anderson's fitness DVD.

The blessed event holds special meaning to the "A Thousand Miles" singer who struggled to have a baby in the past.
"[I was] diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy, or in my case it was a fallopian pregnancy (the embryo settled in my tube, which is the width of a straw.)," she shared with fans on Facebook back in Nov. 2013. "This is not considered a viable pregnancy, because the fetus cannot develop and it is a high risk situation for the mother because of the potential for tubal rupture and internal bleeding."
Her diagnosis would also cause her to postpone several tour dates.
"Thanks for sticking with me. [My husband] John, [our dog] Victor and I are over the moon,"she said after announcing she was expecting. "Thanks for all the nice vibes you guys are sending our way."
