The "Game of Love" sure can be a tough one sometimes.
Michelle Branch filed for divorce from her longtime husband Teddy Landau earlier this month, E! News can confirm.
In court documents obtained by E! News, the "All You Wanted" and "Are You Happy Now?" singer cites irreconcilable differences for the split. Without using a lawyer, the 31-year-old also requested joint custody of the couple's nine-year-old daughter Owen Isabelle.
E! News has reached out to both parties for comment.
The divorce filing comes almost a year after Branch announced her separation.
She first grew to admire her spouse when he was her bass player. They would end up performing together after she found big success with songs including "Goodbye to You," You Set Me Free" and "Breathe."
They would ultimately marry in a romantic ceremony near Mexico back in May of 2004.
Today, the singer appears to be moving on as a single lady after briefly dating Dead Sara bassist Chris Null. And if you wondered where Branch has been on the music scene, she's simply being a hands-on mom.
In addition to raising her growing daughter, Branch identifies herself on Twitter as a "backyard chicken farmer, baker, wrecker [and] lover of the f word."
