Looking for a new place to call home? Perhaps a ranch larger than the size of Manhattan could intrigue you.
The W.T. Waggoner Ranch, which spans six counties in Northern Texas, is officially up for sale and homeowners across the country are in complete awe that such a property could be available to them. Fair warning: The price tag isn't exactly a bargain to the common consumer.
Available for a mere $725 million, the ranch is referred to as the "largest estate in the world" according to Sotheby's International Realty.
So what exactly does one get if they choose to purchase this property? For starters, the ranch sits on 510,000 acres of contiguous land and spans over 800 square miles.
7,4000 cows, 500 quarter horses, 20 cowboy camps and several huge lakes fill the property. Some have even given the area the flattering nickname of the Statue of Liberty when it comes to cowboy culture.
Another possible perk could be the thousand wells pumping oil across the property that were first discovered in 1902.
"There is an overwhelming amount of interest," realtor Bernard Uechtritz told theHuffingon Post. "We're very focused right now."
He added, "This is a once-in-a-century opportunity. It's never changed hands before."
The sale comes after a reported long family feud between the Waggoner heirs. Ultimately, the family agreed to liquidate the property and prospective buyers began touring the property earlier this year.
So who's ready to giddy up and pay up for this hot Texas property?
